One wishes for any glimpse of a raison d’être for the film, even a hint of hoary, patriotic sturdiness that would mark this as something like Barack Obama in Illinois. So its only fitting that someone made a movie about his first date with Michelle Yes, Southside with You is here and its everything you didnt expect it.
